Confronted with conflicts and natural disasters, the Foundation leverages the expertise, transportation, and logistics solutions of the CMA CGM Group to respond promptly and efficiently in assisting populations affected by crises. Under its "Containers of Hope" program, the Foundation has cultivated authentic proficiency in humanitarian logistics and forged strategic partnerships with both public and private organizations dedicated to humanitarian endeavors. Furthermore, the Foundation collaborates with associations committed to addressing various forms of precarity, with the goal of enhancing the living conditions of individuals facing vulnerability.
Launched in 2012, Containers of Hope supports a variety of NGOs and international organizations by transporting humanitarian goods (food, medical equipment and medicines, sanitation and hygiene products, etc.) free of charge to areas and populations affected by major crises.

The CMA CGM Foundation works with major private and public organizations all around the world to carry out emergency operations in the event of sudden humanitarian crises or natural disasters. It mobilizes all of the CMA CGM Group’s logistics solutions, whether by sea, land, or air, to transport humanitarian aid to populations in need.

The Foundation is also a major logistics partner for many Red Cross societies around the world, including the French, American, Kenyan, and Lebanese Red Cross societies.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of people were already suffering from hunger and malnutrition. Today, the World Food Program estimates that as many as 783 million people are unsure of where their next meal is coming from.
The CMA CGM Foundation has been responding to this global food crisis by partnering with prominent food security NGOs all around the world.
