Humanitarian Operation Lebanon

The CMA CGM Foundation mobilizes the Group’s logistics expertise and industrial capabilities to respond quickly and effectively to humanitarian crises.
In response to the conflict in the Middle East, two large-scale operations were carried out in March 2026 to deliver essential humanitarian aid to Lebanon. In partnership with public authorities, these solidarity operations aim to support displaced populations by facilitating the delivery of vital relief supplies to Lebanese communities and organizations working on the ground.
Mobilization of a CMA CGM AIR CARGO aircraft for France’s first humanitarian flight to Lebanon
The CMA CGM Foundation mobilized one of the Group’s aircraft to operate the France’s first humanitarian flight to Beirut on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
This mobilization, carried out in partnership with the Crisis and Support Centre of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and organized in record time, the transport of 60 tonnes of humanitarian equipment and pharmaceutical products.

Transport of 800 tonnes of humanitarian aid from Egypt aboard the CMA CGM SAHARA vessel
Two weeks after this humanitarian flight, the CMA CGM Foundation organized a maritime operation to transport 800 tonnes of essential aid donated by the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Lebanese population.
From the rail transport of the aid to its shipment aboard the CMA CGM SAHARA vessel, the Foundation managed the entire logistics chain for this operation. Through this large-scale operation, the Foundation supports humanitarian actors working to assist displaced populations in Lebanon.
