Containers of Hope by Fondation CMA CGM

In 2012, the CMA CGM Foundation launched a humanitarian aid shipping program called Containers of Hope.
Containers of Hope mobilizes CMA CGM’s operational resources and expertise to help humanitarian organizations deliver aid around the world. Support from the Foundation allows partner organizations to focus their efforts and resources on managing their operations on the ground.
Containers of Hope involves CMA CGM staff members throughout the logistics chain, from Marseille to the international agencies.
In practical terms, through this program, the Foundation offers its humanitarian partners free shipping services for equipment that is essential to alleviating crises caused by natural disasters, conflicts, famine, epidemics, and population displacement.
Over 100,000 tons of humanitarian equipment transported since 2012
Since its launch, Containers of Hope has enabled the transport of over 100,000 tons of humanitarian aid to 100 countries, mostly in Africa.
Each day, an average of 4 Containers of Hope are shipped from some of the 420 ports served by CMA CGM. They often contain therapeutic food and nutritional products, medicine and medical equipment, sanitation and hygiene products, and natural disaster prevention and emergency response equipment.
