WE - Women Empowerment

The belief that diversity is a source of performance and innovation lies at the heart of CMA CGM's corporate responsibility.

 

In an industry that is traditionally perceived as being male-dominated, we took the initiative in 2018 to pioneer a programme dedicated to women's leadership called "We Are Shipping". Our industry is constantly evolving and is at the heart of major changes in our society, which is why it needs women more than ever.

 

Today, the programme is evolving to become WE - Women Empowerment. Through WE, we aim to accelerate the career development of women at CMA CGM and promote women's leadership within the Group.

The WE Programme

WE - Women Empowerment is a continuation of the We Are Shipping programme, developed by CMA CGM in 2018. The WE programme was developed in collaboration with KEDGE Business School and CoachHub.

Each participant benefits from comprehensive support:

  • Group training to develop assertiveness skills
  • Individual e-coaching to make progress in the areas identified for development
  • Inspiring exchanges during networking breakfasts

CMA CGM operates in a sector that is traditionally dominated by men. This has to change! We are taking action on two fronts: collectively, with specific training programmes for women; and individually, through mentoring for our high-potential candidates.
