Les Déterminés explore the Entrepôt Solidaire: young entrepreneurs and high school students explore a model of social innovation

Reading time: 3 min

On Friday, October 24, the CMA CGM Foundation welcomed 30 young entrepreneurs and students from Le Chatelier Vocational High School (3rd arrondissement, Marseille), all supported by Les Déterminés, for an immersion experience at the Entrepôt Solidaire in Marseille.

This space of solidarity brings together an average of 30 volunteers each day to support associations in collecting, sorting, and redistributing food supplies to more than 330 distribution centers throughout France, all regularly restocked from the Entrepôt Solidaire. This commitment is essential, as the need for food aid continues to increase.

The visit aimed to raise awareness among these young people about the importance of civic engagement and to introduce them to a specific model of social innovation. This visit was also an opportunity to illustrate how logistics plays a key role in solidarity networks — both in France and internationally — and how they can contribute to this collective effort in service of others.

Guided by the CMA CGM Foundation and the partner associations, and joined by Moussa Camara, President of Les Déterminés, and Yasmine Iamarène, CEO of Colis Privé, the participants exchanged on issues related to food insecurity, the various ways to take local action, and career opportunities within the logistics sector.
