ZEBOX Caribbean, the West Indies antenna of the incubator set up by Rodolphe Saadé in 2018, was launched in Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) on Friday, September 23.

The event included the announcement that ZEBOX will be moving into a dedicated space to support social impact initiatives. Le Phare, the CMA CGM Foundation’s social incubator, will lead this tailored program to develop solutions to the major issues facing the West Indies.

Three startups will take part in this adventure:

  • Glan'Market, an app to put retailers and consumers in contact to combat food waste and use low price, high quality products.
  • Maiss Cuisine, a program of cooking workshops for schools to teach children about local produce with healthy recipes that anyone can follow.
  • Sargowaze, a smartphone app to measure, predict and help manage Sargassum seaweed piling up.

These three projects will be supported by staff volunteers from the CMA CGM Group, who will provide their expertise to help develop these structures.

We wish them every success!
