Le Phare, the CMA CGM Foundation’s social incubator, announces its new cohort in the French West Indies

- As part of its second cohort in the French West Indies, Le Phare will be supporting 4 project leaders developing initiatives with a strong social impact.
- This new cohort embodies the incubator's endeavor to energize and unite Caribbean associations around key local issues.
- The 4 associations will benefit from free, tailor-made support, within the ZEBOX CARAÏBES offices in Baie-Mahault.
Present in the French West Indies since September 2022, the Phare aims to support social and educational project leaders by providing them with the expertise and network of the CMA CGM Group.
A new cohort focused on Caribbean issues
Le Phare will be welcoming a new cohort of 4 associations to its program as of September 2023. These associations all address major social challenges in the region, such as resilience of the Caribbean ecosystem, access to digital professions, and awareness of coastline fragility.
- CLEAN MY ISLAND: Association that mobilizes populations for the environment through litter clean-up operations, awareness-raising modules for schoolchildren, and eco-responsible workshops to initiate changes in current lifestyles.
- MARYSE PROJECT: Association that seeks to address the under-representation of French overseas communities (particularly women) in Tech by organizing “Outre-Mer Girls Tech”, special events aimed at sparking vocations.
- REZILYANS 971: Association working to create a more resilient ecosystem in Guadeloupe, by preserving biodiversity, experimenting with sustainable alternatives, and developing an eco-environment. Rezilyans 971 regularly organizes workshops to raise awareness and pass on information to the general public.
- WAD-AL-LUB: Association led by Steek, artist and three times world champion of body paint, which aims at raising awareness of different artistic practices and creating a dynamic cultural economy in Guadeloupe.
Personalized and free of charge support
Le Phare will offer startups and associations tailor-made support for a period of 9 months, starting in September 2023, that includes:
- Access to a coworking space 5 days a week. In Guadeloupe, this coworking space is located within ZEBOX CARAïBES in Baie-Mahaut.
