On the occasion of International Women's Day, the CMA CGM Group reaffirms its unwavering commitment to women's rights. This day serves as a reminder of the Group's constant desire to create an environment conducive to the fulfillment of each individual.
Since 2018, CMA CGM has launched a dedicated program for the development of female leadership, initially named "We Are Shipping," which evolved in 2023 to become "WE – Women Empowerment," in partnership with KEDGE Business School and Coach HUB2. In 2024, three cohorts of WE were launched in France and Lebanon, allowing 51 female staff members of the Group to receive support. Several participants of this program have been promoted to positions with greater responsibilities.
The Group has also established a partnership with "Elles Bougent" to strengthen diversity and promote diverse talent. Founded in 2005, the association raises awareness among young girls about career opportunities in technical and industrial fields by organizing meetings and mentorships. CMA CGM mentors recently participated in the "Elles Bougent pour l’orientation" event with interventions in schools.
In 2024, CMA CGM launched "She sails", a program aimed at making seafaring careers more appealing to women. This program focuses on three pillars: attraction, promotion, and retention. The Group aims to have 500 women among its seafaring staff by 2026, more than doubling the current number. This program is integrated with maritime academies in several countries worldwide, across five continents.
The CMA CGM Group has also trained all its recruiters and HR staff members in the "Recruit without discrimination" program and launched the 50/50 gender diversity plan, aiming for 50% female participation in leadership programs and ensuring parity in succession plans, promotions, and talent pools.
In 2024, the professional equality index for CMA CGM was 90/100 in France, and the Headquarters of CEVA Logistics scored 80/100.
