The CMA CGM Foundation launches 2 major new projects: PharmaBox and The Solidarity warehouse

Reading time: 1 min

The Foundation focuses on two key missions: humanitarian aid and education for all.

Its unique approach is to leverage its expertise to meet the needs of its partners, prominent associations and NGOs in France and around the world.

The Foundation implements large-scale projects and innovative, ambitious, and efficient solutions to address the logistical challenges faced by humanitarian and solidarity actors.

Humanitarian organizations face a major challenge in zones of crises : ensuring the proper storage of medicines that are essential for the care of populations affected by humanitarian crises.

The NGO Action Against Hunger, supported by the CMA CGM Foundation for more than 12 years through its Containers of Hope humanitarian transport program, expressed the need for a robust, mobile and energy-efficient storage solution.

Drawing on the CMA CGM Group's expertise in container conversion, the Foundation developed the PharmaBox, a container converted for the storage of medicines that allows temperature and humidity to be controlled even in difficult areas.

Forced to increase their activities in the face of a growing need for food aid, associations working to alleviate poverty in France find it difficult to store essential products in satisfactory conditions.

The CMA CGM Foundation has taken the unprecedented step of creating a shared solidarity warehouse for 5 French associations (Restos du Cœur, Croix-Rouge Française, Secours Populaire, ANDES and Secours Catholique), enabling them to use a high-quality logistics platform to organize their distribution operations.
