#MouvTaVie is a project created by the CMA CGM Foundation and OM Fondation (the charitable foundation of Olympique de Marseille football club) to promote the integration and education of around 40 NEETs (people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training) aged 18-25 in Marseille, France.

For the project’s first year, 40 young people have been selected for their motivation. They are currently following a tailored training and support program developed in partnership with two organizations that are experts in integration and education, i.e., Mission Locale de Marseille and the Ecole de la 2ème Chance.

The program involves basic education (in French, maths, IT and English), life skills sessions and personalized support to help each participant put together a career plan. It has been designed to offer young people a diverse array of training modules designed to give them every chance of success.

Participants also do one week of work experience in a sector connected to their career plan. For example, Imane Chikhaoui spent a week in CMA CGM’s Marseille branch to find out more about working as a shipping agent. Imane, aged 21, wants to work in the shipping or airport sector.

As of October, 11 CMA CGM staff members have been mentoring these young people as part of the CMA CGM Foundation’s skills sponsorship program, through which staff members spend some of their working hours taking part in community projects. They mentor young people throughout their involvement with the #MouvTaVie project, giving them advice and guidance with their career plans.
