Following the unprecedented socio-economic crisis that Lebanon is witnessing, the CMA CGM Foundation is carrying out support actions to the Lebanese population, particularly in the education sector.

The CMA CGM Foundation supplies and distributes 9,500 school kits to 40 Lebanese schools

The school supplies will be distributed directly to 40 schools throughout Lebanon with the support of CEVA Logistics, a logistics subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group. 9,500 students will benefit from this operation carried out by the CMA CGM Foundation to meet their essential scholar needs in 2022-2023.

10 schools equipped of photovoltaic systems

In partnership with the NGO Beit El Baraka, we are committed since 2020 to fight together school dropouts through their FORSA program.

In 2022, we have contributed to their new initiative for sustainable education, with the implementation of complete solar systems in 10 Lebanese schools. These installations allow the schools to save resources and be energy self-sufficient in the face of rising costs and frequent power outages.  These resource savings allow the schools to cover the students' school fees for the next three years.

In total, more than 6,000 students will benefit from this installation.

A strong commitment to “Education for All” in Lebanon

Since 2005, the CMA CGM Foundation is mobilized to respond to the schooling sector emergencies through its educational programs in partnership with local NGOs. By supporting the “FORSA” program carried out by Beit El Baraka, we ensured the coverage of 2,900 tuition fees for the year 2021-2022, for students at risk of dropping out of school within 22 institutions threatened with closure.
