The CMA CGM Foundation and Treizième Homme reaffirm their commitment to Marseille and inaugurate a second city stadium in Weygand

Inauguration of the Weygand City Stadium: a new boost for inclusion through sport
On Wednesday, 26 November, the CMA CGM Foundation, Treizième Homme, and the City of Marseille inaugurated the newly renovated Weygand city stadium.
The opening of this new facility, located at the heart of the Félix Weygand sports complex, was celebrated in the presence of Benoît Payan, Mayor of Marseille, and Pablo Longoria, President of Olympique de Marseille, who joined the young people from Parc Corot for a friendly and festive moment.
This inauguration is part of the ongoing renovation program “Capitale du foot” launched in 2023, which has already led to the rehabilitation of the Major city stadium. This endeavor marked the first milestone of an unprecedented collaboration between the CMA CGM Foundation, Treizième Homme, and the City of Marseille.
An inspiring space open to young people from all backgrounds
Located in the 13th district of Marseille, the Weygand city stadium is now accessible to all young people and residents of Parc Corot.
It will also benefit the youth supported by Les Minots de Marseille, a resident association of the Weygand sports complex, and which is supported by Le Phare, the CMA CGM Foundation’s social incubator.

Through this program, the CMA CGM Group, through its Foundation, reaffirms that sport is a powerful driver of inclusion, social cohesion, and personal development.
