  • Two iconic players committed to education
  • #MouvTaVie, a practical initiative to help some thirty unemployed and unqualified young people in Marseille on the road to success
  • Volunteer employees from both companies will get involved by sponsoring young people

By launching the #MouvTaVie project, the CMA CGM Foundation and OM Fondation commit to promoting and supporting the integration and training of around thirty young people between the ages of 18 and 25 who are "not in education, employment or training" (NEET).

"#MouvTaVie", a programme that includes training and discovering the world of business and sports

The young people will join an innovative programme, within the Marseille Mission Locale (government sponsored agency to help young unemployed people) and the ‘École de la 2e Chance’ (2nd Chance school), which combines training, sports practice in the various sports centres of the OM (Olympique de Marseille football club) and discovering the business world. They will be coached by company volunteers involved in the two companies’ skills patronage and volunteering programme, who will monitor their progress and help them remove the obstacles to successful integration.

Committing to education and facilitating the integration of young people in Marseille

The programme aims to facilitate the socio-professional integration of young people and to leverage new synergies between the various local institutional organizations and associations specialising in training and access to employment. Two specialist associations, the Association pour le Droit à l'Initiative Économique (ADIE) and Massajobs, will also be offering job search workshops and business creation training for young people wishing to start up a business.

Tanya Saadé Zeenny, President of the CMA CGM Foundation, said: “The CMA CGM Foundation has decided to put the universal theme of ‘Education for All’ at the heart of its action. #MouvTaVie illustrates this commitment. It is a concrete project that will give a new chance to more than 30 young people who have left the education system without any qualifications. Initiating this partnership together for Marseille is a great responsibility for OM Fondation and the CMA CGM Foundation. We are very proud to involve CMA CGM Group employees in this project.”

Jacques-Henri Eyraud, President of Olympique de Marseille, said: “Access to employment is one of the priority pillars of our foundation, which has chosen to put the emphasis on help to vulnerable groups. We are delighted to be partnering with the foundation of the CMA CGM Group, which is a key player in Marseille and worldwide. We are convinced that by combining our expertise, our values and the commitment of our employees, we will be able to help young people achieve sustainable integration.”
