CMA CGM employees support Les Restos du Cœur National Collection
In the face of rising food insecurity, the CMA CGM Foundation has decided to partner with key players providing support and assistance in France.
In July 2022, the CMA CGM Foundation signed a major partnership agreement with Les Restos du Cœur, enabling the distribution of one million meals in France.
CMA CGM’s involvement in National Collection drives
Les Restos du Cœur provides food aid and access to free meals. In 2021–2022, the NGO distributed nearly 142 million meals in France.
Each year, Les Restos du Cœur organizes a national collection drive for foodstuffs and hygiene products to rebuild their stocks. This event fosters solidarity and fellowship. This year the aim was to collect 9 tons, the equivalent to 9 million meals.
From March 3 to 9, 2023, 100 employees from CMA CGM helped Restos du Cœur volunteers in the 2023 National Collection drive.
They worked in supermarkets as team leaders and volunteers for the day, assisting the collection of products, before going to Restos du Cœur warehouses in Marseille to sort out donations.
