CMA CGM and Meta join in an exceptional roundtable organized by the ZEBOX incubator

ZEBOX, the international tech startup incubator and accelerator established by Rodolphe Saadé, held a roundtable on Thursday, July 7, for an exchange of viewpoints with several exceptional participants:

• Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of the CMA CGM Group, and Chairman of ZEBOX
• Laurent Solly, Vice President Southern Europe of Meta
• Antoine Bordes, Managing Director of Meta AI

The shipping and logistics sectors were slow to digitalize, but have made some major strides in recent years. The CMA CGM Group has adopted new technologies and set in motion a digital transformation, rolling out several innovations over the past five years.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is crucial to the supply chain and logistics. Shipping and logistics provide access to billions of data points which AI can analyze to better understand our customers and fulfil their needs. The new technologies implemented, in particular by Meta, make it possible to analyze trends and meet clients’ expectations as effectively as possible.

The health crisis has clearly acted as a catalyst by making the customer experience a central priority for digitalization. We are connecting our vessels and our containers to track them at sea but also in the warehouse, and this innovation could moving forward, for example by connecting our AIR CARGO aircraft.

Innovation takes pride of place at the CMA CGM Group, as demonstrated by the recent launch of TANGRAM. Starting in late 2023, ZEBOX will play a key role at TANGRAM, an exceptional center designed by CMA CGM to shape the future of shipping and logistics, where the incubated startups are encouraged to actively take part in finding forward-looking solutions.

Guided by the knowledge that innovation is developing across the world, rooted in local challenges, ZEBOX is ramping up its expansion in overseas France and further afield to promote and foster the development of innovative entrepreneurs. In addition to its presence in the Caribbean, the incubator cut the ribbon on its ZEBOX America hub in Arlington, Virginia, on April 26. Rodolphe Saadé announced that ZEBOX West Africa would soon be opening in Abdijan, Côte d’Ivoire, during the exceptional roundtable with Meta VP Southern Europe Laurent Solly and Meta AI Managing Director Antoine Bordes.
