New working arrangements at the CMA CGM Group head office in Marseille, France

On Monday, May 11, the lockdown was lifted across large parts of France. At the Jacques Saadé Tower in Marseille, CMA CGM Group head office, we have taken measures to ensure employees volunteering to return to work can do so in complete safety.
Our plans for emerging from the lockdown are to move step by step and make changes according to the health situation and the guidelines from the authorities. Three core principles underpin our approach:
- Protecting employees
- Taking action gradually
- Adapting the organization
We have introduced new safeguards for employees returning to work at Group head office in Marseille, including temperature checks by a thermal camera, an obligation to wear face masks, general availability of hand sanitizer, closure of meeting rooms and disinfection of the offices.
We have considered every last detail, such as adding floor and lift markings, and keeping people physically apart in the offices and the company restaurant. The opening times of the restaurant have been extended, and we have redesigned the flows so people will not need to cross each other’s path. Expansion of homeworking
Only those employees who volunteered to do so returned to work at Group head office on May 11. In addition to this plan, a whole new organization of our working methods is being rolled out. Homeworking—arrangements for which are already in place—will be expanded throughout our organization in France and worldwide.
